Terms of service

1. Agreement

These terms are an agreement between you (the merchant installing the app, and the business you act for) and Bulkvane (“Bulkvane”, “we”). They apply to the Bulkvane app for Shopify (the “App”) and bulkvane.com (the “Website”). By installing or using the App you accept these terms, our Privacy Policy and our Data Processing Addendum. You also remain bound by Shopify's own terms, including the Shopify API and App Store terms.

If you're using Bulkvane for a business, you confirm you're authorised to accept these terms for it.

2. The service

Bulkvane lets you export, import and edit Shopify store data — products, variants, metafields, inventory, customers and collections — with a preview before changes, plain-language checks, an undo window, and optional AI assistant access. We may improve, change or retire features over time; if we remove something important you pay for, we'll tell you in advance.

Bulkvane is an independent app. It isn't made, endorsed or supported by Shopify Inc.

3. Plans, trials and billing

• Plans: Free (free, 10 items per job); Starter ($12 every 30 days, 5,000 items per job); Growth ($39 every 30 days, 50,000 items per job); Pro ($149 every 30 days, unlimited items per job). Current limits are on the Pricing page and the App's Plans page.
• Each paid plan starts with a 7-day free trial, given once per store. You won't be charged if you cancel or uninstall before it ends.
• All charges are made through Shopify's billing system and appear on your Shopify invoice. We never handle your payment details. Prices are in US dollars and exclude taxes Shopify may add.
• Paid plans renew every 30 days until you cancel. You can change or cancel your plan from the Plans page in the App at any time; uninstalling the App cancels it too.
• Monthly allowances (spreadsheet editor products, AI assistant actions and job emails) reset at the start of each calendar month and don't roll over.
• Refunds are at our discretion, except where the law requires them. If something went wrong, contact us and we'll work it out with you.
• We'll give at least 30 days' notice in the App or by email before raising the price of your plan.

4. Your data and your responsibilities

You keep all rights to your store data and files. You give us permission to process them only to provide the App to you, as described in our Privacy Policy and Data Processing Addendum.

• Check the preview before you apply an import. Bulkvane applies what you approve.
• Only upload data you have the right to use, and have a lawful basis — including any required notices and consents — for customer data you import.
• Keep your Shopify account and your AI assistant tokens secure. Anyone with a token can use the tools it allows until you revoke it.

5. Previews and undo

Undo can restore data an import changed for 30 days after the import finishes. It re-creates deleted items with new IDs, and it can't roll back orders, analytics, third-party apps or changes made by hand after the import. Undo is a safety feature, not a backup service: keep your own exports of data that matters to you.

6. AI assistants

If you connect a third-party AI assistant to Bulkvane, you choose to send it the results of the requests you make. That assistant is provided by a third party under its own terms, and we're not responsible for its answers or for how its provider handles data. AI answers can be wrong — check anything important before relying on it.

Each token is limited to 120 requests a minute, and metered actions count towards your plan's monthly allowance.

7. Acceptable use

Don't use Bulkvane to:

• break the law or anyone else's rights, including privacy and intellectual property rights;
• access or change stores you aren't authorised to manage;
• upload malware, or try to probe, disrupt or overload the App, Shopify's APIs or other users' data;
• reverse-engineer the App or get around its plan limits, rate limits or security;
• send spam or import personal data collected without a lawful basis.

We may suspend access that puts the App, Shopify or other users at risk, and will tell you why unless the law prevents it.

8. Our intellectual property

Bulkvane, its software, design and content belong to us and our licensors. We give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the App while you have it installed and follow these terms. Feedback you send us can be used to improve Bulkvane without obligation to you.

9. Availability and support

We work to keep Bulkvane available and fast, but we can't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free: it depends on Shopify's platform and other providers. Support is by email at support@bulkvane.com, Monday–Friday, 9:00–17:00 CET, and we aim to reply within 1 business day.

10. Disclaimer

Except as stated in these terms, the App and Website are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the extent the law allows. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be excluded.

11. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Bulkvane won't be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months before the claim arose, or USD 100 if that's higher.

These limits don't apply to liability that can't be limited by law, such as for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

12. Indemnity

You'll compensate us for reasonable costs arising from a third-party claim caused by data you uploaded without the right to do so, or by your breach of these terms.

13. Ending the agreement

You can stop using Bulkvane at any time by uninstalling it; your subscription ends and your store's data is deleted as described in the Privacy Policy. We may end or suspend your access if you seriously or repeatedly breach these terms, or if we stop offering the App — in that case with at least 30 days' notice where possible and a pro-rata refund of prepaid fees.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the country where Bulkvane is established, without limiting mandatory rights you have under the laws where you live. Before starting any formal dispute, please contact us — most problems can be solved by talking.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We'll post the new version here with a new date, and tell you in the App or by email at least 14 days before significant changes take effect. If you keep using Bulkvane after that, the new terms apply; if you don't agree, you can uninstall at any time.
